First one had the clicking noise if you pushed on the screen.

Second one had a dark corner.

Third one's home button is not flush and edge feels sharp if you rub your finger over it (it's the edge of the Touch ID ring).

First two were Silver, third was Gold. All 128 Wifi.

Another family members iPad Pro (Space Grey 128 Wifi) has none of these issues.

Never had this kind of rotten luck before.

Don't worry 4th one will have a nanometer of yellow tint at the top. The 5th one will have a spec of dust in the camera. And the 6th will have a half dead pixel.

Get used to it :) We all became un-payed beta testers at apple. Isnt that one of the reasons, yeaaars ago, we moved from windows to apple?

LOL true true.

my first one had 2 specks of dust under the screen which looked like dead pixels plus one dead pixel. returned it....

my second one has one speck of dust under the screen and a little colour defect on the aluminium back...

Well that is some bad luck. Good chance that if I really looked hard, it probably find some imperfections in mine.

Mine came with scuffs in the back and not tiny. Still waiting on replacement due to the limited stock.

I returned my first iPad for a full refund and ordered the new one which also came with defects. I'm keeping this one and in a few months will claim a replacement.

Hoping time will improve their quality control

I'm just one of the lucky ones who has to press the Power+Home button for 10 seconds EVERY TIME I recharge the Pro!

Think about it this way. You could be one of the unlucky ones still having to use an Air2 or Mini.

In all honesty I don't look for any problems on mine. If something glaring is there I would try to get a new one, but minor things I don't really care about. Got other things to worry about like writing papers and going to work.

Yeah it's time consuming and stressful but I expect near perfection if I'm paying over $1000 for a device

Mine came with some hairline scuffs at the bottom left of the rather large shiny Apple logo on the rear, but it's the kind of thing you would be needing to hold it up to the light for...the rest of the back casing is fine. I am curious if you have pictures of how bad yours was?!

This should get fixed with software though I hope. Although it is not everyone who has this. Mine doesn't. But I can't see any way it could be hardware fault related though.

quality control will never improve to where we want it; thats a sad but real fact. not trying to make excuses for apple but the reality is there is NO perfect device out there in terms of screen uniformity unfortunately, so even though dark corners drive me crazy too, its something we need to live with. add to that the fact that probably 98%+ of apple's customers could care less and dont think about it, nothing will change.

scuffs and scratches on cases out of the box, thats something they should be blamed for.
