What ever happened to those T-Mobile iPhone rumors like a year ago ? Would think that would be the easiest for Apple, not much hardware changes needed, and would be a big road block for Android, because T-Mo is one of the biggest Android carriers. So if your on T-Mo, you gonna get a random new Android phone, or the hot new iPhone, Apple would win big time.

I don't have any personal experience with T-Mobile, but Verizon is viewed as a premium provider. I would say most of the general public don't view T-Mobile as a tier one provider. ATT and Verizon are on top, with Sprint below and T-Mobile floating around somewhere above Cricket.

I could be wrong, but I don't see Apple wanting to align themselves with that image.

OP here, circling around to close the thread. Got the phone from AT&T for the wife. Only had it a few days, but we've made a couple of calls, and done some data. It's soooooo handy. My Blackberry is ashamed!!!

My company strictly uses Verizon, so I am REALLY hoping they release the iPhone there soon, so I can get one, too.

So, all in all, a positive experience in the short time frame so far, and because geography seems to matter a great deal re: the network experience, I'll just say this is in the Boston suburbs.
