On a similar note, I would like to see a small number row on the top of the alpha keyboard. It's pain to keep switching.

To make it easier, you can just hold on the .?123 key then drag to the number you want and let go. It'll automatically return to alphabet keyboard. This means you can enter a number with one button press.

Even with two finger scrolling, it scrolls the text that I've written, but leaves the cursor where it was - in the physical position - in the box, such that the cursor ends up several lines down the text to where I wanted it. I flind moving the cursor in small news website text boxes to be incredibly frustrating.
Yeah i really hate having to hold my finger on the screen then awkwardly drag it around to get where i need to be

You don't need to drag the cursor. Just tap on a piece of text and the cursor will go where you tapped. It takes a while to get used to, but now I can put the cursor immediately where I need it to be most of the time; faster than using cursor keys or a mouse, in fact.
