Arrows in Preview

I'm trying to make an arrow so that I can point to something in a JPG Image in preview but all I can get is straight lines can anybody help me please? Also how do I colour them please?

ThanKs I tried that but all I got was a straight line , I wonder if there's anything elso to and also how do you colour it please.

- Are you quite sure you're not just getting a very thin arrow that looks like a line? Click the three horizontal lines, fourth from the right, and select a thicker option. Colour is one further to the right.

You were right what it was is most is a white background, but saw the arrow after i moved it over a coloured background , Thanks
