I've seen it done before on some particularly troublesome articles (ones that get political flamewars), but the comments seem to be missing from all posts now?

It's annoying, because, yes, I can click through to the actual comments section, but that can be like drinking from a firehose - 300 comments, instead of the dozen most insightful / informative / amusing ones.

It makes the site way less engaging, as I'm much more likely to glance at the article and move on, rather than clicking through to read and respond to comments.

Gotta ask: did you scroll all the way down? The "Popular Stories" chunk sits between the article and top comments.

They're showing up for me (e.g. on iOS 18.2: Here's How Mail Categories Work). If you have any extensions installed, try disabling them in case one is interfering.
Thanks. It seems my content blocker has developed a taste for comments. I'm surprised, because it didn't used to go afte MacRumors comments. I tweaked it and comments are back again.

If there's away to mark this thread solved, please do. EDIT: never mind, I found how to mark it.

Yep, scrolled all the way down. Worth asking, and I haven't loved the "Popular stories" section's arrival as something that needed scrolling past (I wish there was a toggle to turn it off, even if just for contributors), but I long ago got used to scrolling past it.
