Is there a filter/behavior that could be applied to an object to create some kind of artificial camera shake? I'm making a graphic on a video background of traveling through space and I want it to not look so static... like it's hovering around a bit.

Yeah, you want something like After Effects 'wiggle' thing?

I've researched before and I can't find a 'camera shake' in FCP or Motion. I've searched to manually doing it and it looks awful, haha. But if there is a way to do it that, please share!!!!

There is some camera shake effect in Motion if I remember correctly, it may hide under behaviours though and has to be applied to a camera.

I currently don't have access to Motion though, so I can't check.

you can manually do it by adding a few keyframes on position and rotation then copy and past the keyframes...
PS how do you like your canon XH-A1? How is the low light and auto focus?
