Actually OP, I ordered the 6+ precisely for this reason.

Yes, I could have gotten a 6 now instead of this BS 6 week wait with AT&T, but I KNEW that the SECOND I saw someone with the 6 Plus, I was going to HATE my 6.

I know myself. If I have the means to get what I want, I get what I really want.

For example, some of the people around university said they got the regular 6 instead of the 6 Plus because of the wait. I bet they are going to feel terrible when I show up and they see me with my 6 Plus.

Actually for my big screen fix I still have my LG G3, my 6 is my first foray back in to IOS since the 4S. Best of both worlds.

I own both the 6 and the plus. I bought the 6 on launch day at an at&t store in Bklyn with zero headaches, was in line for about a half hour and boom got my shiny new silver 128GB 6. Great right?

A few weeks later I just found myself a little bored with the 6, I own a bunch of Android phones like the HTC M8, and honestly that phone is almost on par with the much newer iPhone 6, cameras pixels aside, the M8 just felt like a newer phone, which is wasn't. Especially when we're talking battery life because my iPhone 5s was getting roughly the same battery life as my 6, and my M8 gets better battery life than both the 5s and 6.

So I decided to take a trip down to Apple and what do you know it's still a mad house in there, just nuts months after these phones launched.

Anyway did some messing around with the plus and a super cool Apple employee asked if I needed some help and I said I'm thinking about grabbing a plus. He asked me if I was already an iPhone user so I took out my 6 and said....Yup ever since the first one way back when. Long story short, we did some talking, compared my 6 with the plus and then he asked me what color and size I would be looking for, told him silver 64 or 128 would do, and he then went to go give a look.

Within 5 minutes he was back with a silver 64 plus and said we just got these in so your in luck. And before you knew it, I was rocking the Plus.

It's been a few days since I got it, and I'll be honest...its a huge friggin phone. It's just BIG! There's no getting around it, I'm a pretty big guy and the weight difference is enough to cramp my hands and forearms with one handed use, which unless your Andre the giant or have huge hands, it was meant to be a two handed device. I am still getting used to it, but I have to say I don't see myself going back to the 6, even to swap. I'll be giving the 6 to my brother because I've tried a few times to switch and give the 6 some use, and I cant. The screen resolution is extremely noticeable after going from the plus to the 6, and the overal experience is just something that I missed after swaping SIM cards. So all in all, I will most likely be keeping the 6 plus.

People really need to give things a try before jumping the gun would be my advice, yes it's a really big phone, could apple have made it a little smaller, of course. But if it fits your needs and you enjoy it, than its a win win situation.

Well that's my story. Good luck OP

I'm also a former 6 Plus skeptic who simply couldn't resist the big, sharp display and pulled the trigger on the Plus despite some concerns about usability.

The first couple of days of ownership found me going back and forth in my mind about whether I made the right choice. Over time, it grew on me more and more. On Day 2, I thought seriously about swapping it for a 6. By Day 5, I flip-flopped and was certain I would keep it. I'm now nearing the end of my 14 day return window and have no plans to return it.

The Plus definitely requires a different strategy for holding and using it. It's not easily usable with one hand, period.

But if you accept that the device you own is a mini-tablet first, and a phone second (ie. a mini computer on the go, rather than a phone with apps), and if you get used to two-handed use, then you might just love it. I do.

The big screen is wonderful for composing photos and videos, browsing the web with less pinch-zooming, using navigation or music in the car, and watching videos.

But it is not for everyone and it involves an acclimation period.

I agree it's not for everyone!

But that battery life and screen resolution is just hard to move away from.

What I don't get is why on earth didn't Apple make the screen resolution 1080p in the 6. The new Droid Turbo just destroys the screen on the iPhone 6 to no extant. The 6 basically has the same screen as the 5s, and that to me is just not cool. But whatever, it's all about that the next variant the S and S plus will have vs today's models to Apple.

Apple is trying to keep screen dimensions and pixel densities within certain brackets so that app designers can simply choose 2x or 3x rendering to scale the buttons and text appropriately. They are doing this to simplify app design and avoid the excessive fragmentation that the Android platform sees.

1080p on the iPhone 6 with 3x UI rendering would make the buttons too small.

Try craigslist or the trade in the forum. There are certainly folks out there who the 6+ turned out to be to big for. You could always sell your and buy a 6+. If it's unlocked the loss you take on it won't be massive.

Sell it! I got the 6 and returned mine and bought a plus off of eBay. Worth it. It's a different user experience and using 2 hands most of the time but its worth it for the extra battery life and of course the big screen for media (readings vids, and Internet). I just love how turning the plus in landscape mode turns it into an iPad mini.

I have a launch day iPhone 6 and regretted it after getting more hands-on time with the 6 Plus. I've managed to get over that regret by convincing myself that the 6S Plus (or whatever next year's big phone is called) will be a huge improvement and I'll be glad I waited for them to work out the 1st-generation kinks inherent to every new Apple product.
