As anyone activated the iPhone on a different lin ? (alternate upgrade)

Haven't seen this posted anywhere yet but as anyone used an upgrade from your family plan but need to activate it on a DIFFERENT line?

If so, please share the steps you went thru to accomplish this.

I am interested to know this too. I know how to do it with regular verizon phones. I'd also heard that a customer service number could be enclosed in the box to call in thos situation. Mine are delivered but I'm at work. Won't get home to attempt until after 7pm. :-(

I activated my phone through iTunes, then call VZW to switch to a different line on my account. Worked like a charm.
