How can I convert a .ASF movie to .MOV so it can be played in iMovie? I've tried QT Pro but it doesn't work.

Isn't that a streaming Windows Media file?

I bet it's just a URL if you open it in textedit. 🙄
No, it isn't. I downloaded it using Bit Torrent. And it isn't just a URL...

Anyone else know of a way to converting this movie clip?

no 'mac only' solution that i know of. if you have access to a windows box, you could use http://www.onestopsoft.com/mi-v-conv.html to go from .asf to .avi. then use quicktime pro to go from .avi to .mov.

isn't windows fun and easy to work with?! why doesn't everyone use microsoft products i wonder 🙄
