You really need to get out more .... Meet real people, talk to girls etc, eat healthy , go to the gym etc. buying a gadget does not improve your life. And yes give yourself a troll stamp.

I can't go out, meet girls, and appreciate good technology (that you use daily by the way)? Oh well guess I'm capable of doing multiple things unlike you.

I think Kutcher is a better actor than many people want to admit. He was very funny and believable in "That 70s Show," for instance, and he's managed to keep "Three and Half Men" alive when everyone felt the departure of Charlie Sheen would doom the show.

OK, he's no Marlon Brando. But acting is a very difficult craft, and he does it admirably.

So you are basing his entire reservoir of talent on his one and only decent character which forever typecast him and a role on a sitcom that has set the bar so low for TV comedy that Adam Sandler couldn't even trip over it?

3.5 Men is a show that died years ago, but the audience is just too stupid to notice that they are just watching the same old gags resurrected every week for about 6 years.

Describing Kutcher as "admirable" considering his dearth of actual acting roles (especially good ones) is like describing the moon as "lush".

----------

I don't see Kutcher in this movie. I see a young Steve Jobs.

In stills.

When he opens his mouth it's that guy from those camera ads and the hippy show.

Can't wait to see it

Well - actually I can wait. But it looks really good, as per the trailer. I notice so much cynicism in the comments about Kutcher. Is there anyone out there who will take him at his word, that he's excited about the project and that he enjoyed the challenge of playing such an iconic role? No one?

I have mad respect for the guy after reading that Quorum article.

Sure, I take him at his word. But he'd also be challenged playing himself, so those remarks should be taken in context.

Steve Jobs was nothing if not complex. Playing him properly would demand a lot from even the best actor. Some of the worst Hollywood biopics were cast better than this one.

The movie looks horrible but you have to respect that he had a passion for the project.

Or it's just a distraction to help build up interest.
I respect the passion he had for a fat paycheck, that's all.

Ashton Kutcher is the worst. He's best left to those horrible camera commercials and those awful romantic comedies he stars in. Shame on the film makers for pissing on the Steve Jobs legacy by having this ass clown portray him. Kutcher is a major douchebag. There are plenty of no name actors out there who would have done a better job than this moron.

The trouble with Ashton Kutcher is that while Steve Jobs was a brilliant guy, Ashton is just a stoner dufus. You know, the class clown in high school with the Camaro and the puka shell necklace who thought he was so cool? But his problem is that he comes across as just stupid - and you can't fix stupid. He ought to stick to the lowest common denominator films where he plays some funny simpleton, and no one will complain. But playing Steve Jobs - no. Playing a biochemist - no.

Maybe some other ridiculous choices for Steve Jobs would have at least been more fun, such as Bruce Willis or Arnold Schwarzenberger...

I can't take Ashton Kutcher seriously though. Whenever I see him acting I always see Michael Kelso.

Some of the best comedians are the best drama actors.

Or at lest pretty good.

Ashton is putting his most serious face in, and if the director is worth a damm, he will ride Ashton until he breaks, and Ashton will love him for it.

I will see the movie, THEN pass judgement.

(imagines Terminator playing Steve Jobs)

HHEEEEEYYYyyyy, I think U have a point!!

They drove a dump truck full of money up to my house! I'm not made of stone! :D

You obviously don't know the business of celebrity careers. Not every role an actor has earns a butt load of money as the SAG loves to profess. The best public line I ever heard about this comes from one of the better studio-system parodies made in the last few years, "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back", where Matt Damon rants "You don't get it! Do the safe movie and then the risky movie and then the safe movie ..."

First Aston's career is has not been smooth sailing in the past few years. "That 70's Show" catapulted him into the limelight while most of that crowd has sputtered getting work. He rode Demi Moore (in more than one way) getting into the Sunset Blvd. scene and now has more scripts thrown at him than he can read.

IMO, this is his "risky" movie giving him a lot of attention while showing he can mature beyond just another pretty boy and into a matured actor. Very few make that transition in that town well. Many find other parts of the business to move into behind the camera letting the latest crop of pretty faces run the trails of center stage.

Aston will do fine. I see this movie becoming a cult classic while also getting regular showings in business class lecture halls for the next twenty years.

i'm really excited to see the movie, it's good to 'see' history (although it's a bit modified though:rolleyes:)

two things because of which i dont like the movie: they have changed many parts of jobs life and ashton is not a great actor.

Homer jumped the shark after the movie. Yawn.

They never should have cast that actor to play Homer. There were so many better actors they could have used. They guy who plays the pidgeon in Valiant could have done a better job. /sarcasm
