Asian smiley, what do you think?

He's missing the lips from the smiley. It's suppose to look like ^_^
it's an anime inspired smilely. I use that type of smiley when writing for anime fans. ^_-

I didn’t say I’d ever use it.
However, at least it actually has a mouth. And no, I’ve never seen much anime stuff.except for the occasional Hentai movie.
^_^ has evolved to just ^^ these days.
The sun will rise in the west before I ever use ^^. Strictly old school ^_^ for me.

When you see ^^, do you naturally recognize it as a smiley?
Do you already use it? I've seen my European friends using it on MSN.

In forums like this, I get it to mean the post above.
In Asian/Anime forums (I don't ever visit em, but some of my friends do, and if they link me something) I reference it to mean a smiley face.
My friends on IM/Text use it, and it doesn't bother me one bit. Though, I still don't see myself ever using it.
I use normal smileys like
