This may sounds really stupid. But I guess thats what this place is for right?

Ok. Here is my question. Do you think that some day Apple will improve their technological capabilities to a level where hardware improvements can be pushed into mobile devices as over the air updates? :rolleyes:

If that day comes, we will be able to see new processors and cameras and stuff flying around in the sky :)

Well, I suppose that Apple could develop a 3D printer, sell it to you, and then send you the designs for new hardware OTA. Then you could watch new, improved hardware being created in front of your eyes. But probably not this year ;)

No. Hardware is hardware. Any advancements in things like clock speed or memory etc will be because the software has been tweaked to improve it by using less bloated code. Besides the 3D printer thing, which I don't think is what you mean, it can't happen.
 
My question: Reader Mode in Safari used to use a serif font that wasn't super elegant but was highly readable. Now it uses a sans serif font that isn't nearly as readable.

(Note to Apple: Use sans serif for headings and labels only, please.)

Is there a way to choose the default font for Reader Mode?

In settings, general, accessibility: Turn off "increase contrast"

To each his own; many people find sans serif more readable, especially at small sizes.
 
how come my pics from my wallpapers are all resized bigger. I cant shrink pic to fit on screen like it was on ios6. anyone else notice this. both of the wallpapers I had on phone no longer fit and I cant adjust pic size to fit.

In order for the background to move when you move your phone, it has to have extra room around the borders. This is the parallax effect. You can turn it off under reduce motion in accessability under general in settings.
 
i[ad and iphone not syncing imessages

after I upgraded to IOS 7 on both. They stay separate. Tried turning off and resetting both.
 
I'm on Three in the UK. Since upgrading to ios7 on my iphone 5, my 3g keeps dropping out. This is in areas I've always had a strong signal.

I keep having to restart my phone to get it back.

Is anyone else having the same problem or am I doing something wrong?
 
Hey, anyone also get this glitch? I have set mail alert sound- note. However after getting new mail alarm sound is like text messages (Chord). This issues appears on iPhone 5 while on iPad mini no issues

I know "experts" tell you to reset settings, but, I never have, and it doesn't help every problem.

A couple things you may need to do after updating to iOS 7 (just once). Go to your iCloud account, it may need you to Agree to new terms. Settings>iCloud>Account . Also check your settings here. Go to Settings>Messages and turn iMessage off, wait 10 seconds, back on, wait for it to display "iMessages can be sent between iPhone..." . If you are using Find My iPhone and/or Find My Friends, you need to sign in after updating the app. If this doesn't help, try signing out of your apple ID and back in again at Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID xxx. Also, if you are also using Messages on a Mac, you may need to ok a Message there about your email or phone number accessing your iCloud/Messages.

This is all assuming you are using the same Apple ID on both devices that you were using before updating to iOS 7 and after?

Are you using Apple's Mail app or gmail or other app? Settings>Sounds>New Mail only works for Mail app.

...try "quitting" the app... go to the multitasker and swipe it up to close it. Then open it again and see if the change to the sound took.

I'm with 3 and getting no issues....only place i lose 3G signal is places i know i dont get it anyway.

Using stock mail app. Strange is that with iPad mini no problems, with iPhone 5 it doesnt work. Keep using text message alert instead new mail alert.

Did you try "quitting" the Mail app as I suggested? Also try "quitting" the Settings app...or, even all your apps in multitasker. Open Mail app again, if sound still hasn't changed go to settings, see what it is set to now. ...The Settings app hasn't been completely bug free yet. ...Another thing that might be happening is, there's a slight chance an app may be interfering, needs to be updated for iOS 7.

Tryed everything, even hard reset. Wondering if anyone also has this issue with iPhone :)

Edit: sorry, i have set different alarms for two email accounts via notification center ;)
 
no internet...

I'm not sure if this is to do with the new OS or my mobile service as I upgraded on both at the same time - oops!

I don't have internet on my iPhone 4 anymore so I can't use iMessage or sync my calendars etc nor check my email when I'm out and about.

my contract ended with O2 (UK) so I switched to a sim only contract and everything stays the same... they even sent a text giving info on the internet settings and they are the same as before so I don't need to change anything.

anyone have any ideas or tips that I can get it back?

Simple thing and you may have done it already but did you turn the phone off and back on?

I did the same thing on O2 a couple of years ago and it rings a bell that mine wasnt working properly, phoned up and was advised to reboot which sorted it.

Also the other thing it could be is if the new contract needs different access information for the mobile data service. This is something you'd need to check with O2.

Whilst I didn't think of that as I never turn off the phone (goes on silent a lot though ;)), it didn't work unfortunately - I'll give O2 a call and see what they say.
I have a feeling it's something daft though :D

If I purchase wifi on an airplane, do I leave it on airplane mode or wifi/LTE ? Can I turn on only wifi without turning on LTE?

Hey, I have recently updated my iPad 2 to ios7 and before that my iPads lock button didn't work to lock the iPad but could switch off, screenshot and reboot it with it unless I turn off the smart lock and it worked... So when I updated my ios7 I count find the smart lock in generals also known as "lock/unlock" I can't find it anywhere... I restored my iPad three times and still not there. Can you help? Please:confused:
