Asked to join waitlist, now Apple Intelligence is gone entirely...

For context, I'm in the EU, specifically the Netherlands. Apple Intelligence has been available in Tahoe for a while and everything works here. Writing tools, mail summary etc. So, while testing Golden Gate, I pressed 'Join waitlist' to see what would happen. Everything was fine for a while, but today all of my Apple Intelligence is gone, and Siri has reverted to its pre-AI globe.
The settings menu now looks like this:

I have no option to choose or reenable Apple Intelligence. No writing tools either, nothing. Image Playground is still there though.
Has anyone else had this issue, is this perhaps intended behaviour? I haven't read anything about them stripping out support entirely due to DMA, but just the Siri chatbot.

Is there maybe a way to force enable AI?

Your language is set to English (UK), Siri AI only supports English US at the moment.

Not true, I’m in the UK and I joined the waiting list after GG installed, 12 hours later I got access.

So what happened to the version of "Writing Tools" from macOS 26? FYI, you are running in macos 27 beta on an m5 MacBook pro.

Now, I wrote the sentence above poorly, highlighted the text, right clicked, typed "proofread and replace" and it replaced the incorrect sentences with the correct ones (the 1st sentence is me asking Siri what happened to Writing Tools).

So it works, but you must access through Siri. This is a worse system in my opinion.
