I went through my settings and I just left my password setting blank, why does it still ask me for my password when opening from sleep or installing something? All I do is just press enter when it's blank. Is there a way to disable it?

No, A blank password is still a password and OSX requires you to enter it even if it is blank. You can make sure your computer doesn't lock when you close the lid - that's a system preference under users I believe, but you can't disable it for other functions. That's how OSX is designed to operate.
