Assign name to mission control spaces

Hello,

It seems mission control automatically names each new space as Desktop # (1, 2, 3 etc) or if you are running a full screen app it is named after the app i.e. safari.

Is there any way to manually assign a name of choice - preferably without extra software?

I think this would be a good feature (for future releases) to further aid organisation when working with multiple spaces.
