I'm considering switching over to "Assistive access" (also dubbed "Senior mode" by some people) for an elderly person's iPhone to achieve an overall simpler and easier user-experience (and less risk of messing things up).
I've played around with it on my own iPhone (luckily you can exit this mode and return to the normal iPhone setup with nothing changed) and I think this would be ideal for this person, but I have a couple of questions which I haven't been able to figure out:
1) how do I enable wifi?
According to multiple other forum threads I see that people have concluded that Wifi isn't possible when Assistive Access is turned on. Is this correct?
2) Is there a "silent", "flight mode" or "Focus" setting?
I'm not sure what this elderly person does with the phone at night, but the only silent option it seems is to use the physical switch on the side of the phone. Are there other options available for this sort of thing, or did Apple deliberately leave it out so that forgetful/unattentive people will end up leaving their phone unreachable for days without noticing?
3) I've set up iCloud for automatically backing up and synchronizing photos etc. from this phone with this person's Mac as well as a general backup.
Can iCloud still be used as before within Assistive Access mode? I haven't found any options or settings for iCloud there.
