Just thought I'd ask if anyone else used Assistive Technology to access their Macs?

For example I use a Joystick Plus (large over sized joystick with extra features like speed & directional control). I can manage iMac extended keyboard but have keyguard on it and use word prediction and abbreviations (like pre-stored sentences) to speed things up.

It has a basic free speech program I had on my old iBook but I also now have iPad with the Proloquo2go text to speech app on it.

I was previously unable to manage texting on an iPhone as I always wanted one then shortly after I got my iPad I read that the new OS4 would be allowing bluetooth keyboards to connect. So I'm now saving up for my next apple gadget an iPhone 4 with bluetooth keyboard that I can share between iPad and iPhone.

I use iMac in office and have Macbook that I use in Lounge or bedroom to chat in bed as I can't sit for long.

Apple products has really helped me maintain my independence so I can shop and communicate with people online and hopefully soon I be able to text my family and friends easier from a 'regular mobile'! 🙂
