Hi all,

I have currently an ethernet cable plugged in and airport turned on (therefore two potential ways to connect).
Is there a way make an application use the airport connection only, and not ethernet ? and therefore when airport is off, the application does not connect to the internet.
Thanks for any comments and help,

A.S

To my knowledge there is no such way. The way most ethernet cards work is that it goes with the higher bandwidth one.

So the controller measures the bandwidth, and if the ethernet gets bogged down to the point it's slower than the Airport, it'll switch.

There might be a program to do that, but it gets down and dirty with the Terminal and a lot of "sudo" commands with the ifconfig (sp).

It is worth searching, but I feel it is unnecessary to do so (you make the computer run a little bit more because it has to do more multitasking).
