I've come across both an M3 15-inch MacBook Air and an M4 13-inch MacBook Air; both with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD and both selling for virtually the same cost. While I could come up with enough sound reasoning for either choice, I'm 100% curious as to where those of you on here would land on this and what your rationale/reasoning might be. (To be clear: I do not need advice here; I'm solely starting/asking this to see what people will pick and why as it seems like one of those things where people might gravitate strongly one way or another.)

M4 air for me would be the easy choice as I prefer the smaller form factor size and the m3 to m4 was actually a pretty decent performance jump.

IMHO 15-16 inch laptops miss the point (and over the past 20 years i’ve had various 10-16 inch machines).

13-14” is big enough, plug in a screen when you get to where you’re going. If you’re planning to use away from a desk (where you will likely have an external display available), 15-16” is just clunky and awkward.
