If the rumors are true I think I see an iPhone SE as the replacement for my iPhone 5.

It would save me the hassle of buying new cases, lol.

I'm happy with my 6s+. I don't see any value in upgrading every year.

For me personally, nothing on the new iPhone can justify paying close to a thousand dollars.

Which is better ordering via at&t or Apple would I get both on launch date if I order from Apple or AT&T
Most likely if you pre order no more than a few minutes after you'll be fine. I'm curious though if the original 6 sold so many lots and lots are going to upgrade just for the fact they've had it two years and usually upgrade at that point so that always pushes apples sales, since in my opinion more folks are on the number cycle because they like physical upgrades.

When I got the 6 I got on the 22 took me days to find a 6 128 GB had to do a 2 year contract to pick it up at Apple Store they sold out for the plus at that moment

I reckon the 6 and 6+ were a special case. After years sticking with smaller screens, Apple finally released iPhones with larger displays. The demand included folks who defected to Android for large screens and were jumping ship back to Apple.

Unless Apple does something similarly dramatic, I don't think we'd have much of a supply issue with the new model.

I normally upgrade on non S cycles (had the 5, now 6 plus etc) but prob won't upgrade to 7. My 6 plus has served me well. I really wanted the Live Photos but not worth upgrading just for that.... Then I jailbroke my 6 plus and now got the one feature I really wanted

I have not decided as my iPhone 6s Plus is on an AT&T Next Plan. At this point, they have shown us nothing worth upgrading for and if the second speaker grill is just for show, then that doesn't encourage me either.

The whole 'no headphone jack' is a minor consideration. A space black iPhone would look pretty sweet though...

I doubt they change it this year. Always seems to be 3am.

I will, because I'm on the iPhone upgrade program from Apple. I've been really tempted lately to jump to the Note 7, but I'm 99% sure I'll be getting the iP7. My wife will 100% get the iP7.

We're leaving Verizon and going to TMobile next month, so I'm tempted to maybe use the upgrade program for my wife and I might do the Jump on demand program and try the Note 7 first, but touchwiz scares me. I dunno.

At this point, I think we can safely assume the rumors are true. The real question now is what will Tim Cook have to say to get the iPhone 6 owners (and maybe 6S owners) to upgrade to a phone that looks pretty much identical to the one we already have. Those of us on the "non S" cycle are used to getting something new and exiting but this year is just bland. It will be a very interesting keynote. Think about it:

Design: Basically the same as what we've had for the past 2 years only this time, we loose the headphone jack (I have yet to see a benefit of this unless it helps with waterproofing). The cleaner antenna lines are nice but most people use a case anyways.

Power: Lets be honest, phones today have reached a point where the power bumps are becoming less and less noticeable (unless Apple enters the pointless resolution race). As a developer, I can assure you that the A8 in the iPhone 6 still has potential. I am amazed at the things I can throw at it without bogging it down. The only downfall of the A8 is the low Ram.

Features: I'm sure we'll get a slightly improved 2nd generation 3D touch, possibly a pressure sensitive home button, maybe water proofing and of course an improved camera but none of those features really excite me enough to spend the $700 is cost for a unlocked unit.

It's not that the iPhone 7 is a bad phone, its just that normally, we'd be getting a much bigger upgrade on a non "S" year. It's what we've come to expect and the fact that it's not happening makes the whole situation seem like a letdown. On the bright side, the new Macbook Pro's are supposed to be a big upgrade and redesign, so I think I'll put my money towards that instead.

Maybe a week ago, it was at 80% sure. Not anymore. Maybe 40%. Too many gadgets I want....

Nintendo NX
Mini NES
Sony PlayStation 4 Neo
Sony PS Vita slim (bunch of games)

Apple iPhone 7
Apple iPhone SE
Samsung Galaxy Note7
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
LG V20
Xiaomi Mi 5
Xiaomi Redmi 3s
ZTE Zmax 2

Possible: Nokia Android, Google-made phone...

Throw in some retro phones from 2013-2014 that I can pick up for dirt cheap under $100 like a second hand HTC One M8 or whatever. I can't decide until most are all out. I can get maybe two of them from the list if one of them is sub-$100 like the mini NES or ZTE Zmax 2. Part of me really doesn't need another phone. So maybe I might end up with a video game system and buy some games with it. A 32gb iPhone 7 for $650+ as my sixth phone doesn't seem all that practical to me.

My service provider would have to offer me something pretty cheap to get me to upgrade this time around. My iPhone 6 is still a pleasure to use and I can't see the point in spending an extra £1000 for not much more.

I probably will. I'm still so invested in the apple ecosystem and plan on staying in it so I may as well upgrade. There have been some more features added in the past week or so. It's shaping up to be a decent upgrade:

Water resistance
3D Touch enabled home button
Dual speakers
Dual camera
2K display for plus model?
Smart connecter
256 GB internal storage

I'll wait for iFixIt, buy 5 and gift them to Galaxy users ...

What would they do with them? Sell them and take the money you paid? Marwelous idea! Send me one!! Althought i have iphone i still have have 3 old galaxys too.

I have an iPhone 6 and am ready for a new phone. Personally I feel (since jobs passed) Apple have been going backwards.

The iPhone 7 isn't enough of an upgrade in my opinion and after 7 years I feel I may move onto android.

The galaxy note 7 is water proof, has wireless charging, a better display, iris scanning etc. All things (apart from iris scanning) that have been on other phones for a while now yet have not made it onto an iPhone.

For the price I pay I feel now more than ever I'm getting short changed. The fact the iPhone 7 also looks exactly the same as the 6 and 6s also make you feel as if you haven't upgraded to a new device.

I want features others have had for ages, if I'm getting a new phone I want a new design to make it feel like it's new and fresh and I'm afraid if these rumours are all true Apple are once again not really delivering that so for me no I won't be upgrading to the next iPhone I will sadly be moving on.

Probably yes to water resistance, no waterproof
Dual speakers a no, since last rumor you did not see suggests it's a micophone on one side, not dual speakers. See front page from yesterday
Dual camera on 7+, not the 7
256 GB storage iffy at best

Nope, I always stay on the 'S' cycle and it's always served me well. I get an insane discount but I always wait for the S. The latest beta of iOS 10 on my 6S is peachy, and I'm very content with all it does.

I can't see three models of iPhone happening, I'll be very surprised if it does. I have an iPad, so I'd get the 4.7" model whilst my parents will always go for the Plus due to their poor eyesight!

Very much dislike the idea of removing the 3.5mm port, especially since I upgraded to some high-end Sennheisers not so long ago and don't relish using adapters, so I hope they're using the extra space it offers wisely. I also hope Bluetooth 5 hurries up, as it reportedly offers better audio streaming fidelity.

I was always in for the plus anyway. I had the 6 plus and now the 6S plus. Before that I was using samsungs notes. So the plus is the one I'd get. I've had 128GB for the past two years. If there is no 256GB model I'll survive.

One rumour says no duel speakers. Others have said there will be
The rumor came from a mockup phone. Let's just wait and see.
If the Plus or Pro has any feature I like, i.e a different display and a larger battery and RAM for more 4k video, I might buy. Otherwise the rumored IP8 might be the one to wait for.

I'm not going to upgrade every year.
