Perfect car.
To me the most beautiful car there is.

The Maserati Quattroporte doesn't compare to it, even though it's a great car, too. However, even compared to Maseratis and other Astons, this Aston is very expensive.

I have driven several current high-end cars (including the Quattroporte), but this Aston would be my favorite, hands down.

I've never called a Mercedes beautiful, nor a BMW, and I don't think I ever will. They're great cars (I love European cars), but they lack a certain charisma you only get with English and Italian cars.

Agreed. BMW M-series and Merc AMG........no thanks. I like the cars, but if I'm paying that much for performance, I may as well buy something else, even if it means giving up some performance. I want to love the car, not just have whatever goes fastest at the time.

And yes, Aston Martin makes the most beautiful cars, although the Maserati 4 door is a good runner up, if not equally as beautiful.

Beautiful !! That car looks stunning for a 4 door sedan. I always loved the style and aesthetics of most Aston Martin. There is only one problem with these exotics and that is the hefty price-tag on those things.

...oh well if you have to ask....you can't afford it anyways..:(

Waiting for black MacBook bashers to call this a rip-off.

Beautiful car.

Aaaah, good news guys! I'll be able to tell you what the Aston Martin DB9 is like...my Boyfriend's dad is getting one! :D He just has to persuade his dad to put him on the insurance...then we can go for a rather exciting spin!

Huzzah!

I don't really like it. I would much rather have the two door. It reminds me way way way too much of a chrysler.

It looks like a competitor for the Masserati Quatroporte.

480hp sounds good to me. Sure, the M5 has more horsepower, but it has zero soul. Same goes for anything badged "AMG". Although Merc engines are showing up in just about everything nowadays.

Define "soul." ;) :D

I just think it's a tad funny how the V12 in the Vanquish uses a fair share of components from 2 Ford Duratec V6s.

I tend to agree that the current BMW and Mercedes lineups are not the pinnacle of sleek elegance.

However, I find one notable exception to be the beautiful BMW 6-series (e.g., the 650i). Of course compared to the Maseratis and Astons it is a "poor man's car" at only $70k (compared to $120-200+k), but I find it an excellent choice for elegance and driveability in the <100k range. Plus it has 4 seats and could reasonably and with a little good will qualify as anything from a sports coupe to a family car.

The only somewhat good-looking Mercedes, on the other hand, the SL, is rather unpractical as an everyday drive, it could reasonably only be a second car. And, as mentioned before, the CLS - which is in the same class as the Quattroporte, new Aston, and 650i - is plain ugly.
