I just bought a new ProArt Pa329C 32. Previous to this purchase I had a very old 27inch thunderbolt display that I used with my MacBook Pro mid 2015. I used to close the MBP in a stand out of the way. I am terrible with terminology but I think it's called clam shell. With my new monitor I have to have the MBP open for it to show up on the new display. Is there a setting I can change? I appreciate any help.

Are the MBP and the external screen currently displaying the same thing? If so, turn off mirroring and try clamshell mode again.

Yes they are showing the same thing. What area of settings do I go to for Clamshell? I found mirroring but not clamshell.
