I have my iTunes to automatically download a bunch of padcasts as soon as new episodes become available, and likewise remove any I have listened to on any device. It is pretty cool to see the padcasts just show up on my iPhone and others get removed if I listened to them say on my Mac. Happens pretty fast too and seemless.
