Use the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports of the I/O card or the top, both ports have DP1.4 signal.Seriously the 2019 macpro with 580x only has hdmi, that is really disappointing.
I used dvi for years then moved to dp, have never used (tv standard) hdmi.
Is there any reason why all 2019 Mac Pro’s are not made in USA?
Why are non-us sales made in China
It’s cheaper/easier/faster to produce them in China. The US ones are only built in the US to avoid tariffs.
Apple would make less money selling internationally from the US, and it’s likely the Chinese factory is more efficient.
That’s the thing about the tariffs. They only make companies change their behavior inside the US. They don’t force any change for international sales.
Mac Pros were made in the US before the tariffs, though, at least since 2013.
It’s all a bit of a nonsense then really....
So if your in the US, your mac is shipped from the US.
If I order one from the UK, it’s not made in the UK, it comes from China, in about 6 months (the way things are going).
So why can’t anyone buy from the US site, when the Mac has a shorter distance to travel.
All that being said, I am waiting for ‘base’ models to be available in store.......![]()

Can someone help me with how best to connect 2 x Display Pro XDR's to my Mac Pro?
Since your package shipped near the weekend it makes perfect sense for UPS to use ground transportation to get your shipment to Louisville in time for the next scheduled flights to Seattle. Shipping companies use the weekends as catch up days for freight that may be delayed for various reasons. In addition major ground operations utilize meet and turn style runs. Which means two drivers leave their domiciled locations and meet each other at a pre-determined meet location (truck stop or other location) exchange trailers and head back home. This gets the drivers their miles and gets them home every night as well. This also keeps the freight moving throughout the companies network and decreases transit times.Well my MP7,1 is doing a 'milk run' around the USA. Not sure if it's taking short flights or traveling by land ? With the various transition locations I hope it isn't being shuffled around too much. At this time it is heading east and in the wrong direction. If it's indeed a 'milk run' then maybe the truck/plane is dropping off multiple MP7,1 to customers around the USA. I'm hoping that later today it will start heading west toward my location just north of Seattle. No matter, my MP7,1 is clocking up some serious 'frequent flying/driving miles'.
