AT&T: $100 of iPhone 5s 16GB, $50 of iPhone 5c

Wow! I know Sprint still has the promo for $100 of any new phone with number transfer, but now AT&T has $100 off exclusive on the iPhone 5s (and $50 off 5c).

I don't recall any high end iPhone getting a deal like that barely 2 months after release!

The AT&T 5s sale is only on the 16 GB model.

So with AT&T you are paying an extra $200 for an upgrade to 32 GB. I don't know how people find that reasonable.
 
For my 2nd line (work phone), I just upgraded to the 5s. Really good deal. My main phone is the fantastic Galaxy Note 3, but I am invested in the apple ecosystem, so abandoning isn't an option. Yeah, I can't remember a flagship iPhone (not counting the 5c) being discounted this early.
 
Yet AT&T still sticks it to everyone with their ridiculous $36 activation fee, so it's really only a $64 discount. 🙄
 
Bought an iPhone 5S last week. Got AT&T to credit my account $100. Made a PDF of the transcript of the chat in case they don't follow through. Thanks OP!

And don't forget they charge sales tax on the full, unsubsidized amount, thus really zero discount.

You have to pay that with it being $199😕. It's a $100 discount!

I paid tax only on the $99.00.

Saw this today on 9to5Mac's twitter. Simply crazy. I wanted to pull the trigger but I just don't want to lose my upgrade still on the 5S when my 4S is still a great champ. Additionally, the lure of the unknown iPhone 6 and AT&T's draconian upgrade policies (not doing the Next and losing my 25% discount & unlimited data since this discount goes down to 15% with those plans) keeps me with it. I told myself I'd only upgrade if this one breaks and off-contract or gently used one is not possible. In any event, one for my mother for Christmas may very well be something myself and the sisters go in on.
 
I purchased my 5s on the 7th. I'm still with in my 14 day return with AT&T. Will I be able to get a $100 credit? Anyone know? 😕

Contact AT&T right away and request credit ($100). They should. Apply it to your next bill . If they give you hard time talk to a manager, remind them that you can return the phone for full refund and buy it again, so they will end up with a used phone for no reason
 
This is great timing. Just saw it on slick deals. I just sold my lime green 5C i had for a week on CL. Have an early upgrade ready so I went ahead and ordered a gold 5S for $99. Can't beat that deal.

It worked! I just called AT&T and they credited my account the $100 difference.

Congratulations man! Enjoy your phone knowing that you saved a good $100 on it 🙂 and when you're done with it, no other phone had higher resale value than AT&T phones as they have a second life with dozens of mvno carriers!

Thanks for the alert and link! Just got a $200 credit on my account for the order I placed last week (two 5Ss).
 
I just purchased my iPhone on Friday through Apple do you think it's worth canceling the order and placing it with At&t?
