AT&T 7-14 days estimated shipping for Premier accounts?

I just logged into my AT&T account and it says that an iPhone 4 will ship in 7-14 days. Um, why would Apple say 3 weeks and AT&T 7-14? Is this typical AT&T being morons?

I was wondering the same thing but mine was in my hands a week after I ordered it. It would have been sooner if it wasn't 4th of July weekend.

Placed order on July 11 through Premier website and will receive my iphone tomorrow before 3pm, so 10 days in total. Hopefully I don't have any reception issues because I don't want to send it back.

Two people at work are also receiving theirs tomorrow. It seems like ATT got a large batch of new phones.

The shipping is really random / dependent on when ATT gets a new shipment of phones from Apple.

ex. I ordered my first iPhone on the June 29th and got it July 2nd.

Ordered 32 GB on 21 July. Taken off backorder on Tuesday morning. Received shipping e-mail Tuesday night. Fed Ex scheduled shipment on Thursday.

Same here. I won't be home on Thursday, though. Hopefully they'll try again on Friday, but some people said that FedEx will just send it back to AT&T. I hope not!

Fedex tries more than once. It'd be idiotic for any delivery company to not make multiple attempts, or at least hold it at the local facility a couple days after the first attempt. Find some new people to listen to, the one's you've got are talking out the wrong end.
