Wrong: That's 3.2 million iPhones on one carrier in one country.

14.5 Million Android phones on multiple carriers in multiple countries.

Again, iphone OS/iOs vs. Android OS is a fair comparison. That means you need to include all ipod touches/ipad and iPhones sold world wide vs. Android worldwide.

Apple is still the leader.

Do I think Android will eventually overtake iOs? Yes. Android will eventually overtake Apple's iOS simply by the fact that there are more carriers and options available.

Well said. I had never thought about incorporating the iPod touches and iPads into the iOS total when comparing to the Android. I don't think that a 1 to 1 ratio should be used with the touches and pads though since so far the Android OS hasn't made its way to other mobile devices.

Both OSs are good, just different. They target different audience's. I have nothing against Android, I just like iOS better and that is my personal choice, joe shmoe down the road may like Android and that is fine, it works best for him.

I'd like to see what iPad is doing for AT&T. Is that the differential between same quarter data revenue from '09? Will iPad demand lead to an earnings surprise next quarter?

ex ped: In Q&A with analysts, CFO Rick Lindner said the company had activated 400,000 to 500,000 iPads and that data usage was less than iPhone but more than other phones.
