Is it too much to ask that iPhone owners just wait a few hours?
Apparently. We live in the 'right now' culture, I guess.
Me? I'd rather wait a little while rather than pay AT&T even more money so they can build up a system for activating a million iPhones at once that will only get used once a year. What a waste of money.
Likewise, it didn't bother me that it took awhile for me to download iOS 5. When everyone's trying to do the same thing it's gonna slow you down. Ever been to a concert or sporting event? Sometimes you've just gotta wait.
was just told it will take another 2 hours after a 45 minute wait on hold.
AT&T stinks. What was I thinking????
Complain loud enough though and they'll toss you a $25 bill credit.
Well. Mine just activated, and I started at 10:30 AM PST (it's 2:45 PST now), in Seattle.
A buddy of mine in Portland started at 8:45 AM and his still isn't activating.
So maybe that blows my queue theory out of the water, unless there are different queues for different regions or something.
I guess people should just keep trying.
Now I'm getting:
Were sorry. There was a problem completing your activation.
You can restart the activation process by turning your iPhone off and on. If activating via iTunes, please disconnect and reconnect your iPhone.
Anyone else?

only if you ordered through ATT. Useless info for the vast majority of us.
Anyone have an answer for this? Just picked mine up from my UPS Store box and wanted to try to activate but need to have phone service today (getting married tomorrow and need a phone that works today.)
Would love to have the 4S ready for the rehearsal tonight so I can try out the camera and show off Siri to my Android-loving nephew![]()
I got the same. I started getting this message about 20 minutes ago instead of the other one.Now I'm getting:
