Carrier [AT&T] - Authorized user, wireless passcode

Will I need to be an authorized user on the account and/or know the wireless passcode to upgrade my line when preordering iPhone X?

I believe so, yes-and you’re going to need the last 4 digits of the account holder’s SSN.

Basically, you need to be the authorized account holder to upgrade. Trying to do it on the sly?

Haha no. My dad is the account owner, but I have my own account to log into when going to the website. Just want to make sure it goes smoothly. How could I possibly do this "on the sly" 😛 it would show on the bill!

I’ve tried to upgrade on the down low without letting my wife know until it showed up on the bill-that’s where I’m coming from, lol. I’m a pretty sneaky one, so I speak from plenty of experience...
