I ordered:Sep 22 and have a 10/30-11/10 estimated delivery date. Is it normal for them to bill the cc right away. I thought it wouldn't bill until it ship.

So I decided to check non premier status site and it says this:

Order status:preparing to Ship
order item
Apple iPhone 6 Plus - 64GB
Order date: 09/22/2014
Item status: Preparing to Ship
Estimated ship date: 10/30/14-11/10/14

Still has same ship date though.

I also ordered 9/22/2014 (6 plus 16 GB Gold) with Premier account.

Delivery date is 10/30/2014 - 11/10/2014.
 
Could someone please clue me in this 877 magic? When you guys call the number, are you using the automated status check or talking with customer service rep? And what are you saying that is causing your dates to change?
 
ordered at 11:58pm on 9/11, email confirmation received 25min later. 64G PS shipped on 9/26 for Monday, 9/29 delivery.

If you call the 877 number and get an automated message that says " your order is processing for item #***** "instead of saying " your ordered items are in back order " then 24 hours later more or less you get a shipping notice from At&t.

This is how it happened to me and to a bunch of others on this thread.
I am happily typing this with my 64 gb space gray iPhone 6 plus.

I have been calling 877.782.8870 several times over last few days. Listened to automated status that phone is back ordered. Even tried once talking to rep. No change in status.

Am I doing something wrong? :)

No, you are not. Calling this number does not accelerate your order or anything. It is just that when you hear that your items are no longer in back order and it changes to processing only 24 hours to go until you get your tracking information.
 
I must be the exception to the rule of the 877 number, I've been calling sicne last Thursday and my keeps saying that my order has been received and is being processed, if I want to check the status it gives me the info for the website. I just posted my rant in another thread about the awfulness I've gone through, maybe I killed the magic with the 877 number.:eek:

Maybe you did sir... Maybe you did... Just playing, don't know what happened there's I was just sharing my experience. Hoping that everyine else's would be the same.
 
The whole situation is funny and not in a ha ha funny kind of way. I hear of people that placed orders days after I did that are getting their phones, and since I work in a retail environment I also get to see people walk in and ask for iPhones and walk out with their new phone. Granted it is not a Plus, but still frustrating.

I'm stuck with this Galaxy S5 till I get my Plus and I am so worried that I am going to start liking Android that I'm beside myself with worry and anxiety.

Wow. When did you order? I did my order on 9/12 at 3:01am EST and got my phone on September 25.

I ordered on 9/15 but due to an error on their side it didn't actually go through until 9/19. Their system kicked it out because it said I wasn't upgrade eligible even though I was. Of course it took them 4 days to email me that I needed to call them or my order would be cancelled.

My date has always been 11/9-11/27. I would have gone to Apple directly but since this was a Next upgrade I couldnt.
 
Ordered 9/16 online 6+ 64GB Gold. Got shipping notice from MyUPS last night that I was receiving a shipment today, about 7 hours later another email from MyUPS stating the shipment was delayed.

Called AT&T, and UPS got confirmation and my tracking information is now up to date I believe. They are sending it Next Day Air from Memphis. UPS tracking says:

Wednesday, 10/01/2014
11:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.
 
Ordered 9/16 online 6+ 64GB Gold. Got shipping notice from MyUPS last night that I was receiving a shipment today, about 7 hours later another email from MyUPS stating the shipment was delayed.

Congrats to you but this is infuriating! I ordered my phones on the 12th and am still stuck in the 11/9-11/27 (SG 6+ 128 & 64GB). If this isn't evidence that AT&T's claim of FCFS is a load of BS I don't know what is.

Agree. The LEAST ATT could do would be to throw in a case or waive the $40 upgrade fee for this debacle. But nothing.

Still back ordered, 11/9-11/27 6+ 64gb SG ordered in store on 12th
 
Gave Up on AT&T

Ordered my iPhone 6 Plus Gold 128 GB on 9/12/14 around supper time and had the infamous 9 Nov to 27 Nov ship window. No changes after that. Went to the Apple Wellington, FL Store and got the iPhone 6 Plus Silver 128 MB on Next on my other line. Then cancelled my current order with AT&T which went thru smoothly. Happy now. Good Luck to everyone who still have outstanding orders with AT&T.:)
 
Still Waiting

I am a longtime reader of the boards, and I was prompted to post due to my ongoing horrible experience with AT&T.

I ordered a SG 128GB 6+ on launch day. The ordering experience lasted from midnight to 11am the next day. I was (and still am) unable to order any apple products via the Premier portal. I sat on hold for hours while waiting for a representative to successfully process my order. I have sought to complain about the order process to AT&T, but many representatives have told me there is no e-mail or physical address to direct complaints. Basically: they do not care.

My ship date is holding at 11/2/14-11/27/14. Many of my local Apple Stores have stock. In the past, business accounts have only been able to purchase directly through AT&T. One Apple employee told me I could now purchase directly at an Apple Store; although two employees (one in store and one online) told me I could still only upgrade through my carrier. Does anyone know if this is true?

I am debating whether to cancel my AT&T order and try to buy directly through Apple tomorrow, but I am afraid that I will cancel and then Apple will be unable to process the upgrade and I will really be out of luck.

Also, for what its worth, I stopped at an AT&T store this afternoon to ask one of their employees. I was very nice, asked the question, and got the response, “I guess you’re stuck with us.” That pretty much sums it up…
 
Cancelled Order and Bought at Apple

Apple Stores can now process most AT&T business orders. I was able to cancel my AT&T order and purchase directly at the Apple Store, which was a much better customer experience than dealing directly through AT&T.
 
Just wanted to share my story and give advice. I purchased my iphone plus 128 sg at 3:30pm on sept 12 through att, I got a preorder shipping date for 11/9 - 11/27. Yesterday I called att and the lady told me I would probably recieve it early November by the looks of things, so I canceled that order right away because I heard the apple stores in orlando were getting shipments everyday. Last night at 2:38am I refreshed the apple page and sure enough they had them available for pick up. I ordered right away and went in the store this morning. I didn't have to wait in line cause I purchased online, but there were 100 people waiting to purchase (iphone 6+ 128 in all colors) and they started running out towards the end of the line. So I suggest you do the same, i got my phone a month and half before I was supposed to! This is the fastest way to recieve your new iPhone

Yup, I was supposed to receive my phone in October. Nonetheless, doing this I got my phone Sept 20th :)

I have been suffering with the GS5 since April. I also had the iPhone 5s as my work phone so that wasn't to bad. Now I have a HTC One M8 as my work phone and still have the GS5 as my personal phone. I come home and talk to my 3rd Gen iPad just cause I need some more iOS in my life.

My fiancés phone will arrive on Tuesday and I am still suck with the November date. Worst of all I have to see and use other people's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus every day, drives me absolutely insane.

Wish I could place an order or pick up at the store through Apple.com. Since I am part of a premier account, apple.com will not let me place the phone on hold/purchase.

Any other premier customer figure out how to pick it up from Apple store?

Also, I signed up for AT&T Next when i placed the order through my Premier rep. Unsure if Apple store can still manage the phone purchase if i cancel my order, which is supposed to arrive on 10/31.
