AT&T Customers *Shipping Date Change*

I'm in a good news/bad new situation.

6 (128, sg) went from 9/17/9/18 to arrive 9/19, to Backordered (that's the bad news)

6+ (128, g) went from 10/13-10/22 to 10/2-10/13

Called ATT and they called the DMDR people who confirmed that the 6 on "Backorder" will come on 9/19. Even put a note in my file and an entry to have someone call me (!) on the 20th to confirm. We'll see...

People could have saved themselves a lot of consternation if they just calmed the heck down and didn't spend a bunch of time refreshing their order status page.

This happens every year. So many order some in during the initial few days of preorder, along with so many double orders, cancellations, changes - etc - real time inventory information is unreliable.

But every year people overreact and panic. It'll happen again this week as many of the devices are already stateside and won't get tracking numbers until midweek...while tomorrow we'll see the first units that have shipping numbers from China.

My 10/13-10/22 Gold 64 GB 6+ went to Backorder. Hoping that means good things.

6+, 16gb, silver order. Premiere/FAN customer

Ordered from AT&T, order processed at 11:47pm PST [got in early]
Received confirmation email at 12:05am PST; shipping "14-21 biz days" = 10/13-10/21
Credit card was charged $1

Later in day on Thursday, card was charged full amount of phone

Friday, received the "your order is being processed" text x2 [8:17pm, 8:40pm]

When checking status on AT&T, says shipping 10/13-10/21

Then TODAY, says BACKORDERED
