Ok, so now both Apple and AT&T are aware of how many people will be checking their eligibility and activating their new phones on the 24th. The question is will they be prepared for this massive amount of inquiries?

I made my reservation on the Apple Store App and received my email confirmation, but it indicates a purchase price of $699 since it did not check my eligibility first. So, I know they will have to verify my account before selling me the phone.

Will we be able to just purchase the phone and activate it at home, like they did with the last version iPhone?

I'm wondering if it would make more sense to avoid the early morning crowd and just come in the afternoon (since the reservation is good until the end of the day). I can't imaging that they would allow more reservations per store than available product, because they have to allow inventory for walk-ins, right?
