AT&T in store order cancel help

    Hey guys,

    After Apple announced the (most recent) white iPhone delay, I went and ordered the black for my wife and me.

    Well, we have decided to wait for the white phone (I feel like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin!). I was told we have to recieve the phone before we can cancel/return. I think we should be able to cancel anytime before it ships, but that is not the situation.

    I was also told the phones would have to be activated before they can be returned. Is that true?

    And if I activate them at the store, how will that affect my current 3g? I know you can only sync to one computer at a time on iTunes, but since this is a different device (same type) will that matter?

    I have a call in to AT&T executive office to get some (hopefully) answers.

    I just talked to the executive office and they said you do not have to activate the phone before you return it. They said if the store tried to make me open the boxes to call back and they would take care of it.
