I have an old (no longer offered) 1,100 minute Family plan from the Cingular days so I can't do it. However, I too have a pool of rollover minutes stored away. However, it's nice to know that if I start burning through my stash due to the teenage years (kids are 13 & 11 now) this might be worth jumping up to the 1,400 minute plan for.

What part of family share plans with 1400 or more minutes don't you understand?

Also they didn't mention a contract extension because there isn't one. You normally don't have your contract changed unless you upgrade a phone or except a certain promotional offer like certain amount of bonus minutes for a 1yr contract extension. :)

Yeah I thought about switching to the lower plan but the att rep told me I usually go over 700 minutes and that I would lose all but 1000 of my rollover minutes, so I am stuck with more minutes than I need. Now that I can call 10 numbers unlimited I should really rack up the minutes. I am only paying 137 a month with taxes for two iphone, one of which is a 2g. Got love that 20% FAN discount.

I signed up for this today, i have a family plan with 1400min

So now basically i can add 10 numbers and have rollover time add up that i will never use.

This would have been much better if they scaled down the qualifactions. I only have 2 lines on a family plan and we dont use the 1400 as it is.

Yep. 1400, too much, 700 not enough. 10 hot dogs, 8 buns.

I think this part is funny:

Update your list online as often as you want, right from your
myWireless Account

I have the minimum family plan so I can't use this nor do I need it but that is okay.

This is a great addition for AT&T...

Almost all of my calling is Mobile to mobile, Mobile to a couple of land lines, or mobile to a couple of non-AT&T mobile lines.

I am going to go from using about 1000-1200 minutes a month down to almost zero, and actually be able to talk more often.

I setup my A-list last week, and it looks like I will have 600 minutes to roll over this month.

Going to be interesting next month to see if I even hit 100 minutes.

Too bad they limited this to the 1400 minutes family plan, or I could save $20 and drop down to the next level...

Now how about cutting us some slack on the data plans, or at least give me a "Family data" plan?

Thanks for the post....

My sister has unlimited, but she can now scale back to the 900 minute plan, and there are only about five or less other people that she talks to the most.

Win/win situation for a lot of people.

I could see it if you called land lines or other networks, but I have free mobile to mobile so..
