Carrier AT&T iPhone 12/12 Pro/Max Pre-Order/Order Status/Delivery Thread (2020)

I do not mind a delay, but 27 days? I ordered on Sunday, Dec. 18th. The site says the 19th. Delivery by Nov 10th (18 days) or Nov. 20 (28 days). I know people locally who ordered the same phone, color, an memory as late as the 20th and have them.
 
No movement on mine...posting this from my cracked screen 7 pro. Hoping for an update soon, but I guess I’ve waited this long...

I wish there was a way I could have Told all you guys this. I pre ordered with ATT 5 years ago. 10 minutes before official pre order time and got it 1.5 weeks late. Even tho people who ordered after me got theirs launch day. I vowed never again with them and went the Apple way and got it every launch since then. ATT SUCKS with pre order!

Couple things. You need one of the new Unlimited plans to get 5G- Starter- Extra - Elite to be able to get 5G ...

problem people are facing is Under cell data options it still has the standard LTE or 4g options no 5G.... I had my iPhone X SIM card in the phone and was giving me the same LTE and 4G... I went back to my box and put in the white SIM card that was pre installed in my iPhone 12 pro and went on ATT.com/getstarted and I activated the new SIM card... I restarted the phone and I was able to get the 5G - 5G auto- and LTE settings. People are still saying they don't have it after activating the new SIM card so you'll have to contact ATT.

I went to att store got new sim. Also updated imei over the phone.
I’m on elite unlimited.
No 5g. Just 5ge. And I’m in Orlando area so definitely real 5g.

under cellular data option. Only 4g and lte.

so something is wrong. I’ve done all the right things.

As someone who actually benefitted from AT&Ts screwed up preorder process, I still find it is understandable that people are upset. They aren’t upset just because they didn’t get their phone, but because people who ordered the exact same model after them got their phones first.

AT&T stated their orders are filled on a first come, first serve basis and this did not happen. I ordered my phone at 4:20 pm on preorder day and got my phone friday. Someone a couple of posts up ordered the same exact color and storage right after 8 am, and they are just now getting a shipping notice. That is terrible customer service. It isn’t entitled to think a company should follow their stated policy and to be upset when they don’t live up to their promise.

Exactly. I ordered at 4 mins after the preorder opening and still has “in progress”. That is bs
 
Still waiting. Seems that I Pre-ordered as one of the earliest on here so far 7:36am ET. I have a little patience though as I been waiting for RTX 3080 GPU lol. Ordered 12 pro 128gb Pacific Blue. There must be a shortage and apple kept them for themselves?

I just received the Wifes iPhone 12 on Friday and I thought the white sim card was pre-activated. We put her old one in and worked fine. Well yesterday evening I call AT&T and have them activate that white sim card that came with the phone and it worked. If you go into Cellular under Settings you will see how you can Leave it on 5G Auto, or On/Off. Unfortunately even after Changing to 5G Unlimited Plan and with 5G phone she still gets the 5GE and the speeds are the same as my 11 pro on 5ge. Now I'm in St. Louis but AT&T Website shows 5G Coverage all over oh well..

I am in the same boat for the two 128gb Gold 12 pro.
Hope it is a small delay and that we will see them this week.
 
I have to order my phone through my work (Premier?) and my work didn't have the new phone in their system for us to order until Friday morning. This morning, I finally got my confirmation from AT&T. Estimated shipping date: 12/8-12/15. 😭 (Pro Pac Blue 256GB)

If ATT was not going to deliver in the 10/26 - 11/2 timeframe when would we know? I honestly don't care at this point as long as it comes in this week ( like it says on the order page).

Is the supply chain a lot worse than their telling?

I can't really be upset unless they miss this delivery window.
 
just checked Bestbuy.com and they are able to deliver an iPhone 12 Pro PB 128GB on Wednesday Oct 28. Not sure if i can trust that... but tempting ... cancel my AT&T order and order from Bestbuy
 
Mine 12 Pro 128 Pacific Blue is finally shipping for delivery tomorrow. The AT&T phone agent I spoke with on Friday said they worked directly with order fulfillment, and she "flagged it for expedited shipment". I'm not sure if she really did anything, but it has at least shipped. This is the same agent that said that orders couldn't have shipped until Friday anyway since that was the official release date. I'm in Texas, and it's shipping from Indianapolis via FedEx.

I tried them and they pushed it back to Nov. 2nd and and then told me to keep pushing my order back. Long story short they wouldn’t let me order because of my area.
 
I had a November 23rd delivery date and saw last night I could get it next day with store pickup at Best Buy so I canceled my AT&T order. Got a confirmation email that it was canceled but I check today and it was never canceled. I talked to AT&T chat and they said their system wouldn’t let them cancel the order so they opened up a case and it will be 3-5 business days before they can fully cancel the order.

I think they were surprised by how many people went for the Pro this time. The XR and 11 were the highest selling models of their respective generations, so they probably figured the 12 would be this time. The problem is that the difference in price between similar configurations is like $120 now instead of hundreds so everyone went for the new phone.

Update. Apparently, for folks that have not seen any movement on their order may indicate that the Number port did not go through(if you are transferring from another operator). Call AT&T Port number and they will help you with the port and get your order ready to ship. AT&T won’t ship if number is not ported. Hope this helps or maybe a lot of folks already knew that. Oh well Good luck 🙂

Apple Store near me has the sprint version of the iPhone 12 pro in stock. If I pay in full can I use that with ATT network or any other network?

I hadn’t bought Pro before. For me, the difference was the $800 in credit AT&T is giving me for my Xr-for which I paid $749. It’s a great deal. I’m happy to see this kind of offer for a long-time customer, and not just for creating a new lines/new customers.

So the 12 will be the most sold
Phone. There is really no reason for people to go for the Pro cause of how similar they are now and during a terrible time in our country a $100 is a lot to most. But for the avg joe they don’t get it right at launch. They get it whenever. So it will be the best selling, just in about 3/4 months.
The pros are always the least made, in a numbers perspective.
