Well after talking to Apple and AT&T, I would have to wait for up to 72 hours to get my upgrade back on my AT&T to order the 4S from AT&T website. So I figured within those 72 hours my phone should start shipping. So I'm going to wait until Monday, if nothings changed I'll cancel. Anyone out there who ordered from Apple on 11.14, and it stilll just says "processing items"? I talked to Apple and they said by Friday it should start preparing for shipment. I sure hope so, because the last two people I said within 24 hours it would start preparing for shipment, well that was way over 24 hours ago. I hate this game! I just want my order on Apple to start preparing for shipment.

AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Well after talking to Apple and AT&T, I would have to wait for up to 72 hours to get my upgrade back on my AT&T to order the 4S from AT&T website. In the same boat order 16 GB white ATT via Apple on the 15th and I'm still processing.. but my delivery isn't until the 29th-6 so when those dates pass ill start to get worried. I know you want your phone like Yesterday but it will be worth the wait.
Yeah my dates are Nov 28th - Dec 5th. It's just irrating that I'm seeing people order the same phone, with the same service and their getting their shipping email within hours or days after they order. Hopefully it will be sent out soon. Keep me updated on your order.

I had a similar choice when I had my phone ordered from AT&T and people were getting Apple orders quicker. I even started a thread on it.My iPhone from AT&T arrived 25 days after I ordered (predicted 21-28 days), at the time Apple orders were running about 15 days out. But now AT&T orders are running sooner than Apple. Luck of the draw.
Like people advised me, I'll advise you - you've cast your lot, let the process play out. If you cancel and switch, you'll not only likely delay the phone more - you run the risk that something will go wrong with the cancellation/reorder and you get charged for both, or your upgrade eligibility gets hung up, or whatever. Not worth the added headaches to switch.

Yeah it's been 9 days now. I got on Apple today just to find, it's still processing items. I know it will be the same tomorrow also because it's Thanksgiving. Yeah I'll just wait and hope they will ship it out soon, or at least change the status to preparing for shipment. I'll be just as happy to see that, because I'll know something good is happening. I'm now gonna hope for a shipment on Friday or Monday.
