Me: Okay does that mean that you have product on hand and it's not back ordered?
AT&T REP: Yes, that is correct! I do suggest to wait and email notification within 24-48 hours for the email notification for the tracking number.

So it would seem, 24-48 hours we should have an update on 64GB Rose Gold 6S Plus!!!

I have either called in or via web chat several times asking them specifically do you have it on hand or is it backordered are they sitting in a warehouse somewhere in China or San Francisco where are the device is not physically built yet and they keep telling me that they're actually Belton on hand they are not backordered .I find that hard to believe because with Black Friday around Christmas and all that stuff and multiple companies Walmart Best Buy everybody shipping everything Amazon and everything seems to get out fine you tell me there's not enough FedEx trucks or UPS trucks I think they're just giving us the runaround because they don't want us to take off for who knows what reason
 
Need you guys opinion. Should I just try and cancel my order and get a regular plus? I'm coming from an iPhone 6.
 
I tried going to my local AT&T store, but the line was 35 deep. People were sitting on the floor. I tried calling, but got "this person has a mailbox that hasn't been set up yet. Goodbye." I left. Now home chatting with an AT&T rep...

UPDATE: What I got from them was:

Rachel M: I do apologize, We’ve seen tremendous demand for the new iPhone models from the moment they became available to pre-order. Apple and its manufacturing partners are working hard to fulfill the demand. In most cases, orders for the smaller 6s models placed on 9/12 will be delivered on or around 9/25. However, orders for most of the 6s Plus models will ship between 10/16 and 10/23. Both Apple and AT&T are working diligently to fulfill orders as quickly as possible and we’re genuinely sorry for any inconvenience.
 
Thank god that i am not the only one with no movement for my order.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My wife has the 6 and is upgrading to 6S+ because she wanted more real estate as well as the new features. Me on the other hand I'm coming from a Note 4 and going to the 4.7 screen because I'm sick of my big phone sticking out of my pocket all the time. ;)

Thank you for finding this article but it only makes me sadder and emphasizes the point I made earlier .

It's not the first time that apples run into the situation where a brand-new color is been popular all this time the brand-new color is almost like twice as popular as last time a brand-new color with popular . I'm the last one who wants to be saying this as I'm affected as well but if your dates say like 16th to 23 October you might not be getting your/my phone until the 16th or 23rd of October because it is backordered there is only one company that makes the back lights and only one company that makes the lovely new Rose housing

On a side note I saw another post and I told agree with them if I order two weeks prior to the release date no store should have them until every prior order has been satisfied but again AT&T doesn't care they know will they will catch some people in this nasty loop anyway and they pretty much say you're SOL

I hope everybody has a super weekend at a super Friday

I couldn't wait any longer for my iPhone 6s Plus 64 GB Rose Gold. I dropped my phone yesterday and it shattered so I really needed the phone today. I was so tired of constantly refreshing to keep seeing In Progress.....

I showed up at the AT&T store this morning at about 7:40 and was the 8th person in line. They only received 2 Rose Gold phones of each model! They were out of the 64 GB, but had one more 128 GB Rose Gold Plus left so
I asked if he could check and see when they would get more 64 Gb Rose Gold Plus. He pulled it up on the iPad and it said that they wouldn't receive more of that model for 25-30 days. I canceled my pre-order on the AT&T app and took the 128GB. It was only $3 more a month on my Next plan and it was right in front of me so I went for it!! I seriously love it.

I really feel for guys still waiting. I hope the dates are wrong and you get them sooner. I just wanted to post here bc it seems that AT&T is seeing the same shipping dates for Rose Gold. He said they had lots of the other colors available though. Go figure!

The 128 gb is literally the only rose gold phone I've seen ship out and the only one they seem to have in stores...so annoying.

they usually don't restock the stores until the preorders are fulfilled. so they aren't going to get any in stock until we get ours. all carriers of the iPhone are like that, even the Apple Store.
 
The article explains the RG color but what about the Silver 6S+'s. Just weird. I just want the 6S+ to come soon so I can take my wife's gold 6, then upgrade to the 7 next September. :D

I think they should have stopped taking pre-orders, when they ran out. Then offer to take orders, that will be shipped when they become available, after September 25th. So you would know beforehand whether to place an order and wait patiently or go to the store and stand in line.

All pre-orders would be fulfilled on Sept 25th. Then we would have three groups on the forums. Pre-Order group, Sept 25th Standing in line group, and the Order after Sept 25th group.

As it stands, we have no idea who or what we are. Just we know that we didn't get a status change and we preordered within minutes of launch on the 12th...

Nicole V.: As I have checked here on my end, the estimated timeframe of your order will be on 10/16/2015 To 10/23/2015 . Do not worry okay? that is the only estimated time frame of the order. But we are trying to commit a possible way to ship that early as possible. Once the new phone is ready to ship out, we will send it to you as soon as soon as possible.

I was told pretty much the same thing. 15 minutes later I got an email with tracking info for Monday delivery.

Nope. My local corporate ATT store had two deliveries today for walk-ins. One in the early morning and one midday.
