OMG, you got a shipping email overnight? Tiny crumbs of hope.

(Still nothing here. I'm actually laughing (crying) to myself that I have probably annoyed the CSR's so much over this my order really will be held until late October, lol.)

Trust me, I was just as surprised as you.
After preordering my 6+ on pre-order day last year and not receiving it until the first week of October I was almost positive this year would be the same thing. Especially considering I ordered more than a week after preorders (on 9/24) this year.

I appreciate AT&T under promising and over achieving. I hope it works out the same for the rest of you. Fingers crossed.

I had a feeling they didn't ship on weekends. Their cheap asses doesn't want to pay overtime or higher additional employees. This whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I might just switch carriers next year.

I'm actually dreaming every night that I wake up to a "shipped!" email... but sadly no. Still "in progress" with Oct dates.

So frustrated, and AT&T is absolutely no help. "Keep track of your order through this link..." Yeah, I'm familiar with that link, thanks.
 
so we shouldn't call the warehouse? I really want to know what's up but I don't have the courage to call :(

I have no changes. So I am not sure what this is.

We have 24/48 hours, it's a weekend. No boxes are going out. So it really doesn't matter until Monday, when UPS/FedEX pickup. They may already allocate the phones, but are simply processing them.

We are two/three customers out of how many? hundreds thousands, waiting for 64GB/RG/6S+... So they pickup his box first, IDK. I know it seems wrong. But there are also Sept 11 orders that still haven't been processed. (11:45pm to 11:59pm)

I am 12:04 AM...

i ordered 2:53am ET ...which is 7 mins before preorders went live....pacific time, it wouldve been September 11th at 11:53pm...just because they don't deliver on the weekends doesn't mean the devices aren't traveling during the weekends! they have to be for those who have monday delivery dates to receive them that day.

I know nothing will physically ship over the weekend. I just want a tracking number. :(
i don't think thats true. i think items will ship...i order a lot online and they will all ship and travel throughout the weekend..they just don't deliver. they put items on flights and things like that and travel by box truck but we just don't physically get the item delivered.
 
I very nicely spoke with an online representative this morning and told them I was disappointed that orders were being processed out of sequence. Politely told her that her explanation did not make sense (she blamed it on Apple). Told her I understood that her ability to do anything about it was limited.

An hour later, I have tracking information. Shipped today. Potentially a coincidence, but maybe not. 64GB+ Silver ordered at 3:18a ET

Yeah, it just depends on what stage the packages are at, as to whether they actually move or not. Stuff that's already made it to the sort facility probably won't move until Sunday night, when late night sort starts. Stuff at the AT&T warehouse will get put on a truck, which may or may not go anywhere, depending on if AT&T requested a Saturday pickup or not. Trailers are on the road, but staff at the sorting facility is limited as far as unloading/sorting goes.

It seems like either AT&T has an extra shift(s) today to process more orders, and/or their system is finally catching up with status changes.

I currently work in a warehouse that does order fulfillment, and used to be a package handler at FedEx Ground. So I know that while it's true some things do have movement over the weekends, it is much more limited than during the week.

Shipped! 64GB rose gold. Check your emails guys! They sent mine this morning at 8:58am.

I check my email like 5 times on the hour, so I know for sure I don't have anything in there. But this is great to see! You're the second one!
