I have AT&T and my wife is eligible for an upgrade (i.e. iPhone 5) but I'm not since I just purchased the iPhone 4S.

Will it be possible to order an upgrade phone (iPhone 5) under her line but then switch it to my line? (and then give her my old phone)

You could do that in the UK on O2, but sure what the terms are on AT&T contracts.

IMO should be fine, as long as they get paid the same (which they will do) why should they care?

Different sim card in the new iPhone compared to the 4s. So it wont be as easy as swaping cards like previous years.

The title of this thread is a bit misleading. I was gonna ask to throw a pic up and I'll let ya know if I'd consider it.

at&t can't do the wife swap but they can definitely do the device swap. Just go to the at&t store with both phones and they'll be able to swap the lines.

ATT will not do wife swaps, just wife rentals, and it's not unlimited, you definitely will be throttled at some point. Some are not LiTE either, and 3G is out of the question.

This thread went downhill a long time ago. ;)

Actually it is GREAT. A short break from:

When will iphone be released?
How do I order?
What time can I order?
What colors will be available?
What is the memory on the new phone?
What will the cost be?
Why cann't I get another subsidized phone after only a year?

etc. etc.

More like a short break from:

I am skeptical of the leaks. We'll see a completely different iPhone on the 12th.
It still won't be called the iPhone 5. The 5 stands for something else.
Why the **** aren't they letting me upgrade this year?
