Lame? I think it conveys the message pretty well. AT$T is so American and I love it. :D

Totally, totally lame.

My phone bill is pretty much the same as my friends' bills on other networks.

So unless you plan on typing Veri$on, $print, and T-Mob.... um, $-Mobile, don't only do it for AT&T.

What's a Tour and did that writer know half of what he was talking about? It's as if he called Verizon customer service twice -- instead of media relations, which is where anybody other than a ranter should call -- and has a gilded conclusion. Considering all the "contract, no contract, ex-contract, et tu contract?" language used, I don't think anybody knows what's going on.

But again, if the author wanted to be taken seriously and not as someone just hacking away at a keyboard, he should've called media relations. Someone in PR will know a LOT more about such a thing than a hired today, fired tomorrow tech support person.

Actually the writer is correct regardless of the means he used. I just switched to AT&T for the new 3G S and checked out the Tour before making the switch. My verizon contract expires in August (they are shutting it off as of tomorrow, no early term fee) and while I was eligible to upgrade my phone, the only phone i wasnt allowed to upgrade to was the Tour. I would have had to cancel my contract, start a new one with a new number, if i wanted it now.

It seems kind of crazy, but then again so does Verizons 45 dollar unlimited Data plan, the 3 bucks a month for visual voicemail, and the 20 dollars for 5000 texts. Just for the sake of a comparison, my iphone bill will come to about 77 dollars a month (FAN discount) and includes all of the aforementioned, ecxept i gt unlimited text for 20 and i dont need to pay for visual voicemail.. A verizon bill for the tour will come to 110 (FAN discount).

So please let's stop calling AT&T, AT$T.

I agree, my Verizon bill was the same price as my iPhone. It's no different.

I believe the T is short for Telekom, owned by the Deutsche Telekom company, so you can call them Deut$ch Telekom Mobile

Now Vodafone and O2 may be tough ones, I don't know how you're going to get an S in there.

€2?

V¢daphone. Though I guess the cent sign connotes affordability.

yeah, not funny at all. AT&T is really not that expensive, you get great phones, great coverage, and its pretty much the same price as verizon. plus rollover minutes.

you can't compare sprint and AT&T because Sprint's prices are low because they are losing over 40,000 customers every month.

and T-mobile is 1/2 the price for 1/4 th the coverage and 1/4 the speed.

Good thing you bolded the &... I never would have gotten it if you hadn't.
