I have had a microcell for more than 6 months and it has worked very well. The worst thing I have had to do during its use was to reboot it a couple of times. Other than that it has been flawless. Allowed me to finally get rid of my land line.
No, AT&T has no way of tracking what you do with your own property. Even if you acquired it by a mistake on their part.
i have had bad signal in my house even though i am in a "good service area" and was wondering why i cant get a free microcell. copied a chat session below.
I took the case off my iphone 4 and did a death grip to get it down to "No Service."
I share a 4-line family plan with 2 iPhone friends and 1 dumbphone friend. At the iPhones' house, only 1 bar of edge upstairs. None anywhere else. I inquired to AT&T about this and they offered a free Microcell but unfortunately reneged on their offer after they discovered that the service problem wasn't at the billing address (my place).
That shouldn't make a difference. I have a "service address" in Oregon, and a billing address in a different state. My service issue was at the "service address" in Oregon. The AT&T rep I talked to didn't notice (or care) that my billing address is 1,200 miles away from the service address.
I'd try again showing them screen shots of the reception issues. If that store doesn't work, try another.
Is it okay to sell a Microcell? I recently moved and don't need it any longer.
I suppose you're right and all the issues are mine.
Perhaps I just moved into the wrong area because this is all I can afford, my issue. Perhaps I should just move where the service is better, oops, I can't exactly afford to do that now; my issue as well. Perhaps I should switch to Verizon so I can get better voice service, damn, I can't afford to pay an early termination free and for a Verizon iPhone 4 as I'm under contract until next year; that's my issue too.
Is there something that is not my issue? Oh woes me!!!! When will my white knight come blazing in and rescue me from my despair?
