AT&T Nationwide DATA outage 6/22/10

Just got off the phone with AT&T. The Rep said an email was sent to her saying data is down nationwide. I'm not sure if this is only for iOS4 or not but since updating mine, data has not worked at all. This is also why visual voicemail is not working for those wondering. She said there was no ETA and to just reboot the phone once in awhile so it reconnects with the network.

We seem to see the Visual Voice Mail issues with every major release, usually just re-entering your password takes care of it.
 
I have reentered the password. It's not just voicemail, its email, and web. Anything. The Rep didn't even try to troubleshoot me at all. She said they were in the process of offloading the data to a different network. Whatever that means? Glad most of you seem fine though!

They just found out people are getting their iPhones early so they decided to screw up a couple days early.

Turn on Airplane mode, then switch it back off. You will be all set.

Central coast of Cali, not a problem:).... Well one problem, my fed ex tracking number still isn't live!! but that's not related:D
 
no 3g

i've been unable to get a 3g signal since i loaded ios4 on my 3g. tried everything but all i get is the edge signal

My phone was having the same issue when I updated to the ios4 GM. My phone had previously been jail-broken. I did an update to ios4 and had no data capability. I then did a restore to ios4 instead and that fixed the issue. I happened to still have a backup from before I jail-broke my phone so I was able to restore to that backup. Otherwise you might have to restore as a new phone.
