Now that the supply seems to be catching up with demand I want to upgrade my iPhone 5 to a 6 plus.

I don't want to deal with an AT&T store because they try to sell you all kinds of extra services and insurance. So my question is can you walk into an Apple Store in California and buy an iPhone 6 plus using Next. Thanks guys!

looking at the website it looks like you don't even need to walk into the apple store and you can upgrade your phone using next on apple.com

maybe you need to be an existing customer to use next at the apple store, and you can't be a new customer. thats the idea i get from the website

You can, but only if you want them to ship it. For whatever reason they don't allow in store pickup with next.

I was able to do it the first month the phone was out.

If you're looking to save money, going to the at&t store might be a better option. They gave me $200 for trading in my iPhone 4 when the phone came out in september. (promo no longer available), another $100 for going with NEXT, and another $100 for signing up for insurance. I don't need insurance, so i cancelled the $7/mo insurance as soon as the $100 credit was deposited into my account.

I dont think there are any promotions going on like that. I could be wrong...

rats.

paypal was doing 18 months no interest on anything at the apple store and i felt it was better then AT&T next, because you get an unlocked phone instead of being stuck on edge and having your phone locked for 30 months, but i had to delete it, because the 18 m no interest offer at payal / apple has expired.

now its 12.99% for up to 24 months

I have done a few phones at each place.

ATT might ask if I want stuff, but they do not push it. Actually, with the last phone on our family account - I walked in, told them exactly what phone I wanted - and never a question about other stuff.

Why is Att next bad, there has to be a reason otherwise everyone would be getting an upgrade

I just did this using the apple / Barclay card and got 12 months no interest and no annual fee.

the only thing you can't do at apple is go from one next phone to another, i had to go into ATT but the young lady who helped me was awesome and they didn't have my phone so i opted to have it shipped to my home, due friday ordered sunday !
