People also forget that you also don't benefit from the triangulation via cell tower when using a myfi solution or tethering and therefore no AGPS
 
It's peanuts, and way too expensive at that price.

You can get a full UMTS/3G flatrate in Germany for 20 bucks - unlimited online time, unlimited downloads. The only thing that's limited for 20 bucks is the bandwidth: 384 kbit/s.

At 20€ a month in Germany you can also get a flatrate from Klarmobil. This uses the O2 network that has HSDPA (up to 7,2 Mbit/s). You can cancel that every month. They also offer a 500 MB plan for 10€ a month (i think this is a good option for iPad).
IMHO this is a better option than the various resellers of the E+ network because O2 has HSDPA and much more 3G coverage.
