I have two phone lines.
Phone line 1 (iPhone 3Gs with 1 remaining year contract)
Phone line 2 (just signed up for iPhone4 for two years contract)

Basically, the line 2 is for my dad who does not use iPhone or data plan.
I just went to AT&T store. The salesman put a $25 data plan on my line 2 with iPhone4)

Here is what I want:
1.) iPhone4
2.) no data plan

Can I activate the iPhone 4 with line 1 phone number?
Can I remove the freaking $25 data plan that the salesman added on my line2? (my dad doesn't need any data plan)

as long as you put a simcard into a phone that doesnt use a dataplan, then yes you can get rid of it, but the system needs to see that the phone being used isn't something that requires a data plan.

scratch that, i keep forgetting that iphone 4 uses microsim. you're going to have to switch phones and explain that your dad "didnt like his iphone" and he needs a regular simcard for a normal phone.
