Perfectly good. Many of us have no desire to watch millionaires play with their balls on TV.

Its funny some of the comments on here disparaging sports, yet I bet some of the same people drool over nonsense like Car Pool Karaoke because they are obsessed with the lives of millionaire celebrities. Or, things like Keeping up with the Kardashians... another brilliant way to rot brain cells. At least in sports, you are watching a competitive event where you never know the outcome. They are getting millions because of they are able to do things that the average person can't.

I'm not saying you specifically watch that other stuff I mentioned... I stop watching some sports when the players bring in politics... same with other entertainers. I've completely stopped watching any of the late night talk shows; and most news for that matter. When I turn on a TV, I don't want to see that.

It's quite possible for you to be happy with more varied choice for your entertainment needs that doesn't include bagging on others' choices in entertainment needs. I love sports dearly and will keep my PS Vue subscription, yet - even with the Evil Empire AT&T offering this service - I appreciate other choices in the marketplace.

The issue I have with these streaming TV offerings, I do not want to be tied to my television. If I need to interrupt my day to watch a program at a certain time, no thanks. The minimum price needs a full DVR, then I will make my decision. Even then, the DVR features and my time required to make it work could still could be a deal breaker for me. The ideal, on demand streaming, program selection, when I want it. The one exception, sports, currently a low priority.

This is circumvented some by watching your shows via their apps. Not perfect, but you get what you want mostly.

I signed up for DTV Now last month. I would love it if there was a cheaper version without sports since I don't watch sports. I kind of wish AT&T would just offer the lowest tier on DTV Now with an option with no sports.

It will be interesting to see how they tier the programs. Ultimately, it's about making more profit from 2 tiers than rom one. The challenge is getting enough new subscribers to make up for any losses from people dropping the sports programming. If I was picking what to include I'd leave out a few popular non-sports channels to get people to keep the higher tier to get them, even if tehy don't want the sports channels. That way, there is less of a drop off in revenue.

How broadcasters are reimbursed could change as well. Little watched channels can survive because tehy get a few pennies form all subscribers. If they get dropped into a lower tier they may either get offered less per subscriber or only what their actual viewership is on the higher tier, which may mean they are no longer able to cover their production costs. Since few people watch them anyway they'll just disappear and most subscribers won't care. Of course, those who bu the lower tier to get those may drop out, leaving even less revenue and additional channels may become unprofitable, leading to their demise. Ultimately you could wind up with a much smaller selection of available channels.

It would be interesting to see the actual economics.

Do you have unlimited with AT&T? You get free HBO included with this.

I just realized you very well could be with Sprint, but I’ll still ask.

With AT&T and not unlimited. Pricing on that is insane. I have a 10GB a month plan and roll over takes me to nearly 17. I'm lucky if I ever reach 1GB a month. Usually always on WIFI.

I don’t watch sports. I don’t know about Car Pool Kareoke. And the only Cardasians I know hung out with Captain Picard.

I watch some Star Wars, Discovery, Food Network, and Fox Business. Not everyone has to be involved in celebrity culture.
