AT&T service - new york and new jersey awful!

i missed this thread, so I'll throw in my usual Jersey City complaint. EDGE is practically dead in Jersey City (I'm at Harborside, right across the river from downtown NYC). Really slow speeds, usually around 20-40 kbps, sometimes worse or totally dead.

Fair Lawn, NJ and downtown Manhattan here (Wall St area).

Edge Speeds have been about 30-50 kbps.
3G speeds have been about 200-300 kbps. Sometimes, the speed tests would lag out.

So I guess it's not my iphone that is defective?

My 3G/EDGE speeds have TANKED in NY the past day.

NYC 3G did have severe issues this week, but today it was fine in Manhattan. Since switching from Verizon 3 weeks ago I've had a great experience with my iphone - the calls have been clear and just one was lost. Calls to the west coast are great. I'm delighted with the phone part of the package, and I was worried about the change. So far, so good.

My main complaint is with the occasional nonfunctioning App from the App store. Hopefully the firmware upgrade they're busy working on will help here too.
