Okay so here's my dilemma: I want to buy an iPhone 3G, but I don't want to be locked into a 2 Year-Contract.

So I called up the AT&T 'contact us' number (after 15 minutes of holding) and we had a discussion about it.

The representative (Moesha) said that I could not do a Pick Your Plan with the iPhone on the internet, but I would have to go to the store and do it.

Now, I'm not to sure. Is this possible? I would be going with the 29.99 along with the 19.99 Unlimited text messaging. I don't know how much the data plan would cost though.

Does this sound like a good idea? How would I go about asking the people at the ATT store about this? Before I talked with Moesha, I thought the iPhone is only available through 2 Year-Contract.

Any help guys?

Thanks!,
Aleks

I wasn't worried about taking off the data;in fact I was hoping I would get it.

Also, you're saying that the lady wasn't telling me the truth?
