I have both T-Mobile (iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPad mini) and AT&T (iPad Pro M4) and honestly, T-Mobile has greatly improved since buying Sprint. They’re about neck and neck as far as speeds go where I live, since AT&T deployed the midband spectrum they bought from EchoStar, and T-Mobile has been greatly expanding their rural coverage.

AT&T should fix what it has before it starts calling out other bad guys. I have it and live in NYC and get no signal just a mile from my house. Can’t wait to switch.

I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile in 2017 and haven't had any issues, apart from spotty signal in my old office (deep in a large metro downtown area.) The biggest reason for the switch was the lower cost. I managed to get a promotional discount on my lines, then they threw in a data line for free! 3 lines for $88 is pretty solid. Unless the service somehow degrades significantly, I don't see myself switching carriers any time soon because neither of the other large carriers can touch that price.

I've tried US Mobile and the flexibility they offer is great, but I couldn't gauge if they could really meet my needs long-term. Never forgave AT&T for taking away my unlimited data plan, either 😅

I see one black kettle calling out the other black kettle.

After the numerous breaches with T-Mobile and doing away with plans they claimed they wouldn't etc, I switched to US Mobile, which uses the same towers as the big 3 and I pay half of what the big 3 charge. Not to mention, I can instantly switch carrier service.

US Mobile really is the best. I love how you can even have multiple carriers (via eSim) on one phone.

1 Square mile Rant... AT&T and T-Mobile... I have been an AT&T user for decades. Multiple states. Recently two years ago, moved to a ZIP code - 89179. That's in Las Vegas NV. My family use T-Mobile, they get solid 5 bars...I use AT&T and get maybe ONE bar if any...I have to make calls when I'm out and about...

I am a T-Mobile USA customer and the best thing T-Mobile did was convert the former Sprint frequencies to support true 3GPP NR 5G on the middle bands. That's why I can get up to 1,600 megabits/second downloads speeds if I'm close to a T-Mobile tower without needing mmWave connections.

Is AT&T’s 5GE still a thing? 😂
You mean AT&T's false labeling of 4G as "pretend" 5G? Yup.

I actually disabled 5G entirely on my AT&T iPhone for a time, and noted the 5GE labeling during my drive home... it's quite ridiculous. It really blows my mind that they somehow convinced Apple to play along with their game.

Personally, I think AT&T is just salty that they get called out on their own lies more often than does T-Mobile.

AT&T lied about the iPhone 4S having 4G connectivity, and AT&T notoriously lied about their 4G networks being 5G-E. AT&T has the smallest 5G rollout among the top three carriers.

AT&T attacked them on LinkedIn. So someone attacked AT&T.
And an AT&T fake account is doxing people. You heard it here first.

And this fake account in brutal violation of LinkedIn TOS.
