I got tethering working on my iPhone 3G tonight over AT&T and gotta say it works really well. MMS is now working too with no problems.

Some screen shots:

How did you do it? I tried what was posted on another forum and it took out all my apps that I've downloaded. They all would crash on launch until I reinstalled 3.0.

Is it working or did you force the issue and now you're about to be charged a hefty fee for MMS and tethering?

Sounds like you didn't have the correct version of iTunes.

Be sure to be prepared for the fees AT&T may charge you.

I only loaded a few web pages so it really wont be much if they even change me for it. As far as I know people don't get changed for the tethering apps that are around so how should this be any different. And from the looks of it is using a generic account for it.

Either way its only a few MB at max, and if I do get charged I just pull the "WTH are you talking about, tethering doesn't work on the iPhone 😕"
